Ghastly collision in the Western Region - 15 feared dead

There's been a major accident near the Ewusiejoe near Agona Nkwanta in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region where 15 people are feared dead as a result of the collision.

According to Skyy Power FM, a local station int he area, the accident involved a Stanbic Bank mini bus traveling from Takoradi with another mini bus that was traveling to Takoradi.

Witnesses state that the Stanbic Bank vehicle, laden with mourners returning from a funeral in takoradi, barrel rolled a few times before it collided with the vehicle minivan due to a bad attempt to overtake another vehicle.

The occupants of the Stanbic Bank vehicle numbering 15, including the driver of the vehicle, are all feared dead due to the severity of the accident. The Ghana Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

All remains belonging to the deceased have been transported to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital.
