Mr Vincent Hodoli a.k.a Torgodomakpa (Agbonugla), an activist for the National Democratic Congress has blamed the defeat of the NDC in the last general elections on the greed of the executives in the party.
According to him, items that were supposed to have been given to the party foot-soldiers including T-shirts, motorbikes and bicycles were withheld by the executives.
He also stated that some items that should have been distributed during late President Atta Mills' period had also been kept by the executives.
Speaking to the Daily Graphic, Mr Hodoli said, "This and other things contributed to the humiliating defeat suffered by the party in the 2016 election"
He added that the Volta Region which was known as an NDC stronghold, did not live up to that notion however, in the 2016 general elections.
Mr Hodoli called on the Dr. Kwesi Botchway committee to probe into the cause of their defeat and not sit in hotels holding discussions, as it would prove futile.
"We call on ex-President John Dramani Mahama to make the executives render proper account within one month and if that fails we the youth will bring out names of executives who were engaged in shady deals into the public domain and ask them to render account," Mr Hodoli said.
