The UK foreign secretary, Boris Johnson, has meet President Nana Akufo-Addo at the Flagstaff House.
Johnson is in Ghana to boost bilateral relations and trade ties between Ghana and the UK.
Ahead of the visit, he said: ”I’m delighted to be the first Foreign Secretary to visit Gambia this week and delighted to have a chance to meet the newly elected President Barrow and President Akufo-Addo of Ghana. Their elections highlight the continuing strengthening of democracy in West Africa.”
The UK foreign secretary will also visit Blue Skies company, and hold meetings with business leaders and young entrepreneurs supported by the Department for International Development’s ENGINE project.
