The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Youth Organiser, Sammy Awuku has been enstooled as a development (Nkosuohene) chief in Nkwatia under the stool name Nana Okorodware.

The enstoolment which took place on Tuesday was overseen by the Nkwatia Benkumhene, Nana Baah Oware Santrowade II who conferred the title on the youth leader who was very instrumental in the party’s success.
According to reports by mynewsgh.com, the Benkumhene and his elders were inspired by Mr Awuku’s outstanding demeanor of being a strong voice for the voiceless - before, during and after the elections.

“Your messages and activities gave hope to the hopeless and I admired you for putting your precious life on the line for the sake of Ghanaians. The youthful exuberance demonstrated got Ghanaians, especially the youth to appreciate that ensuring the right things done was a shared responsibility and not the job of politicians alone. Therefore, there could not have been a better reward from the traditional council,” Benkumhene stated.
Mr Awuku was full of praise for the chief and his elders for the honour done him saying that he did not know his actions were being marked by unseen eyes in the community but was happy regardless that his hard work has been acknowledged.

His new job role will entail he ensuring that the youth of Nkwatia are focused, determined to turn around the fortunes of their town through development.
