Raphael Edem Avornyo, best known in showbiz as Coded of the 4X4 music group, has given his account of the accident which has left him temporarily confined to a wheelchair.
On Wednesday, February 8, the musician was involved in an accident with his Kia Sportage saloon car which collided with a Toyota Camry, leaving the front end of his car badly damaged.
The artiste suffered some bruises on his left arm, and experiences pain at the base of his scalp.
In an interview with TV3 entertainment, the artiste told his story, saying, "I just want to say thanks to God. I was on my way back out when he bumped into me but I was lucky I was wearing my seat belt. My airbags released and slammed me pretty hard. My neck, head, shoulders and chest really hurt but God willing it’s getting better and now I’m recovering and I just feel pain when I put my feet on the ground but God willing I’m going to be okay and be on my feet again."
He debunked the rumors that his accident was part of a publicity stunt, stating, "The most important thing is that my wife and family and everybody was strong by my side and making sure that I was not listening all of those things because nobody will go and deliberately slam his or her for a stunt or publicity stunt."
