Justice William Atuguba is now the acting chief justice of Ghana, as Justice Georgina Theodora Woode goes on leave ahead of her retirement.
The Speaker of Parliament, Prof Mike Oquaye, addressed Atuguba as the acting chief justice while introducing dignitaries in Parliament Thursday ahead of President Akufo-Addo’s first State of the Nation Address on Tuesday.
Justice Atuguba once acted as Chief Justice from May 25, 2016, until June 3, 2016, while Justice Georgina Theodora Woode was outside the country on official assignment.
