James Agyenim-Boateng's vehicle returned
Mr. James Agyenim-Boateng, former aide to Vice President Kwesi Amissah Arthur, has confirmed rumors that the vehicle sized from his home on February 7th, has been returned to him.

According to a post shared on the former vice presidential aide's Facebook profile, the vehicle seized by what he referred to as "government sponsored thugs" was returned to him on Monday, Febraury 27th.
Mr. Agyenim-Boateng further stated that following an investigation into who the legitimate owner of the vehicle in question, the Ghana Police returned the vehicle to him noting that "investigations established that the said vehicle did NOT belong to the state".

Mr. Agyenim-Boateng's vehicle was seized by members of the presidency's assets retrieval task force when two uniformed men and a plainclothes National Security operative visited his home on February 9th, 2017.

Mr. Agyenim-Boateng reportedly willingly released his vehicle to the task force members who visited him without a warrant. The men only brandished a laminated letter from the the president's Chief of Staff.
