- A community in South Africa got tired of the local thieves
- They decided to take justice into their own hands
- Police found them beaten up, but they anyway got arrested
Two thieves who had just stolen some Bibles were rescued from a mob in Johannesburg, South Africa, but then immediately apprehended for their crime.
The burglars had a whole set of stolen goods, including the seven holy books.
They were attacked by a group of angry people. Captain Solomon Sibiya released a statement which read that they had “received a complaint of two suspects that were in possession of suspected stolen property in block 5 Tshepisong West.”
When the police arrived on the scene, the mob had already surrounded the thugs. They were on the ground, bleeding from the injuries they had received. Locals commented they were tired of the constant burglaries both men committed in the neighborhood. They were due to appear at the Kagiso Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
