Anas to expose politicians engaged in illegal mining

The menace of illegal mining remains one of the most troubling in Ghana today.Investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas says he is resolved in exposing the names of all politicians who directly partake of the illegal act.

Editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Kweku Baako has revealed that Anas been gathering the materials for the past nine months and will be released once all the facts have been properly verified.

“It has to do with this whole galamsey thing and when we are ready, we will put out the facts. It has been going on for nine months. Elements in all the parties, major parties who have ruled the country, including the NPP are involved at the constituency, district and regional levels,” he said.

Illegal mining remains one of the grave challenge most governments have had to grapple with - with its effects seen to have amounted to severe drought across selected regions in the country.
