The Ashanti Regional Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Ken Yeboah, has issued a stern warning against indiscipline in the police service under his watch as regional commander.
According to DCOP Yeboah, The Ghana Police Service only expected the utmost professionalism, and a commitment to keeping the citizenry safe from its officers.
Interacting with the media in Kumasi, DCOP Ken Yeboah spoke highly of his predecessor, DCOP Kofi Boakye. He said DCOP Kofi Boakye did a good job reducing the crime rate in the region and iterated that the "bar would not be lowered".

The new Ashanti Regional Commander vowed that under his tenure the service would be relentless in their mission to reduce the rate of robberies, the lawlessness of Fulani herdsmen, and illegal mining.
He also touched on issues of hooliganism, saying that the police would deal with them decisively regardless of the perpetrator's political affiliations. He further congratulated the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei-Tutu II in advising chiefs not to intervene in criminal matters.
DCOP Ken Yeboah also ask conscientious citizens to be bold and report suspected criminals to the police service.
He also cautioned members of the media to be thorough in their crosschecking of facts before they go public with it, adding that the police service would not hold back information from the media.
