Evelyn Boakye, a kitchen staff member of the Marwako Franchise that suffered horrendous abuse at the hands of a supervisor has dismissed an apology issued by her abuser, a Lebanese supervisor of Marwako Fast Foods.
Following a traumatizing incident where her face was smeared in raw pepper for allegedly fidgeting with a blender, Evelyn Boakye, the abused Marwako Fast Foods Employee, has stated that she is unwilling to accept an apology issued by her abuser.
“I wish very sincerely to personally apologize to you for the incident on the night of 26 February 2017 at our Ablenkpe place of work..”
"True to God, all I sought to do was to point you to something I found wrong. I admit I was angry a bit at the moment and saw you panic and accidentally resulting in the pepper splashing onto your face. …I very sincerely regret the incident and apologize to you,” said Mr. Jihad Thaabn, a 26 year-old brother-in-law of the restaurant's owner.

But speaking to Accra FM on Monday March 6th, Ghana's 60th Independence Day, Miss Boakye expressed that she does not accept the apology because she does not feel that justice has been delivered yet.
“I cannot accept the apology because if the police had not come in, the matter would have been a ‘foolish’ case,” she said, speaking to Accra FM on Monday.
“I was told by one Ali (also a worker there) that I was not the first person to have experienced this treatment at the place, and that even those handling the chicken also experienced same treatment. He suggested to me that we come together to use this incident to extort money from Chaaban but I said no, I wanted justice.
“Because I rejected that ploy, my co-workers have all turned against me and so I cannot accept the apology. I know God will deal with this matter.”
Marawako Fast Foods has since condemned that actions taken by it's supervisor, Jihaad Thaabn.
