The Lebanese supervisor at Marwarko, Jihad Chaaban, who allegedly splashed blended pepper onto the face of a Ghanaian co-worker Evelyn Boakye has been charged with assault by the police.
Chaaban was arraigned in court Tuesday at the Abeka Magistrate Court, but the case was adjourned to Wednesday because the judge did not sit.
The accused is reported to have dipped the face of a Ghanaian subordinate in blended pepper and locked her up.
He has since apologised to the lady for his action. He said he regrets the incident but the Evelyn has rejected the apology.
“I cannot accept the apology because if the police had not come in, the matter would have been a ‘foolish’ case,” she said.
