Member of parliament for Korle-Klottey constituency, Zanetor Rawlings has expressed interest in partnering parliament to end the menace of flooding in Ghana once and for all.
The daughter of former first president, has gained her place in the political sphere as one of the most forceful and influential personalities in Ghana today.
She has therefore appealed to the speaker of parliament to constitute a joint committee of the House to tour the capital ahead of the rainy season.
“The catastrophic events of June 3 resulted in the deaths of around a 150 people, the displacement of thousands and the loss of millions of property,” she reminded.
The issue of flooding in Ghana remains one of the most troubling with the development of the June 3 disaster being the most troubling.
