Jennifer Nyarko, a Level 400 Consumer Science student of the University of Ghana reportedly fell from the fourth floor of her Akuafo Hall residence early Wednesday morning.

Her body was discovered this dawn in a pool of blood on the ground floor of the hall by a student who said he was going for prayers but saw something suspicious on the ground.
He then raised an alarm which drew the attention of the hall porters who called the police and ambulance service. The victim, who was an old student of St Mary’s SHS, was then rushed to the Legon hospital only for her to be pronounced dead.
It is unclear what may have caused the fall.

A university campus has been filled with many rumours as to how she met her untimely end with some suggesting the lady had committed suicide.
A student and supposed roommate of the victim speaking under anonymity said she was suffering from bipolar disorder and that may have caused her to do what she did, others also claimed that she had been jilted in a relationship and had not been attending lectures for several weeks.
The police said they received the phone call about the incident around 5am and they have started investigations to find out the circumstances which led to her death but speculations were rife on campus that she allegedly jumped.
The whole university campus has been thrown into a state of shock with many students asking what may have caused this tragedy.
