- Kenyans are known to be among the most generous people in Africa owing to the many occasions when they have greatly helped those in dire need
- This time round, they are looking for Vincent Omondi, a homeless man who picked and returned GHS9k to a stranger who had dropped the cash in a Nairobi street.
Kenyans online have launched a search for one Vincent Omondi, a homeless man whose recent act of honesty has left many trying to wrap their heads around it.
Omondi picked a wad of GHS9k after a man dropped it while walking along Kimathi Street towards Kenyatta Avenue.
It is said that the street urchin who identifies himself as Vince Dancer followed the man to the bank entrance and handed the cash back to him.
He would then disappear without asking for any compensation as he did not know if the money was to settle a hospital bill or paying school fees.
Now members of a Facebook Group, Buyer Beware, where his story was first posted want to reward him for his selflessness.
Another page known as STITCH is mobilising funds for Omondi with the hope of taking him to rehab.
According to his Facebook page, Omondi was an employee of Nakumatt before he got addicted to drugs.
