The national democratic congress (NDC) says it's confident of winning back political power in 2020.
Earlier, the spokesperson of former president John Mahama, Joyce Bawa Mogtari revealed on radio that the party could stay in opposition till 2024 but deputy general secretary of the party, Koku Anyidoho says such claims are far-fetched.
"Our own investigations show that we are ready to come back to power in 2020…she has just shared her taught which doesn’t reflect the views of the NDC. She has no authority to speak for the NDC…Our National Chairman is our leader and the secretariat is still working,” he said to discredit the suggestions of Bawa Mogtari.
The NDC suffered a huge loss in the 2016 elections after the then opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) won by over 52 percent of valid votes cast.
