The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Johnson Aseidu Nketia is under fire after comments he made concerning a short play by actors on the day of the 60th anniversary of Ghana at the Black Stars Square.
The small skit on the importance of educating girls which was performed by a small team from Kumawood, was regarded by the general secretary as “unnecessary, and waste of time.”
According to Mr. Nketia, most of the foreign dignitaries present did not speak and understand the medium of communication used by these actors.

Now a spokesperson for the Kumawood industry, Mr. Atta Aboagye has counter attacked Mr. Nketia for his rather sour opinion.
“Mr. Aseidu Nketia does not know importance of sending a girl child to school hence, NDC condemnation of government’s free education policy,”, Mr. Atta Aboakye told mynewsgh.com.
Mr. Aboagye also stated that their work is to amuse, educate and inform the public on issues that will benefit the people of this county.
