The former first lady, Lordina Mahama has not been involved in any attack at her residence and is well with her family, a statement from the former president's office has said.
According to a Class FM report, there have been false reports on social media of an alleged robbery attack at the current residence of the former first family.
The matter was brought to the attention of the Mahama family through numerous worried calls from friends and family.
However in a statement signed by the Special Aide to former president Mahama, Joyce Bawa Mogtari, the Mahamas deny any such reports of an attack, and state they are all well and good.
"Indeed, the residence of the former First Family is secured by personnel of the Ghana Police Service and National Security. Neither the Mahama household nor the former First Lady has spoken to any police officer about a robbery that never occurred," the statement concludes.
Meanwhile, former president Mahama has distanced himself from an event slated for March 18 that is supposedly meant to celebrate him.
A statement released to the press from the former president's office states that John Mahama is unaware nor has he endorsed any event to celebrate him.
