President Nana Akufo-Addo and former president Jerry John Rawlings are not joking at all on the occasion of Ghana's 60th anniversary.
After both of them attended the Achimota School 90th anniversary celebration and then the Independence Day parade at the Black Star Square, they headed to Bukom in Accra over the weekend for the Freedom Fight Night boxing event.
The event, which was held at the newly constructed Bukom Boxing Arena, was meant to celebrate boxing in Ghana.
It formed part of the year-long activities lined up to celebrate Ghana's 60th anniversary.
The night was marked by spectacular fights that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
Although there were losers, Ghana won in the end.
