Government has vehemently defended the 110 ministerial appointments of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
According to Minister of Information, Mustafa Hamid the NPP never promised a lean government.
He opined that in the running of a government numbers did not matter. “Nowhere did we ever promise a lean government because in our view it is not the leanness or bigness of a government that determines its output or its ultimate performance,” he said at a press conference on Wednesday.
Hamid added that is not about the size of the government. “We have had in the history of this country governments that are smaller that have landed this country in bigger debts and bigger mess than governments that have had bigger ministers.”
President Nana Akufo-Addo has appointed an unprecedented 110 ministers in total, making his government the biggest in the Fourth Republic
