Dzifa Bampoe, a news anchor with Accra-based Joy FM, has condemned President Nana Akufo-Addo for appointing an unprecedented 110 ministers.
In a rare commentary on Facebook, Dzifa said Ghanaians did not vote for Akufo-Addo to undertake so many appointments.
She said it was inconsistent with the president's pledge to protect the public purse.
"This is not how to protect the public purse by appointing 110 ministers and deputy ministers. This is not what Ghanaians voted for," she said.
Bampoe said a big government would not guarantee that Akufo-Addo would achieve all he set out to achieve, adding that there was no reason, for instance, to appoint deputy regional ministers.
She said Akufo-Addo could end up as a failure if he continued on the current path.
"If you continue on this tangent then you will be no different from the narratives that politicians are the same. You are the president don't pander to be Mr nice guy to everyone. This was not acceptable for another party it is not acceptable for you and the NPP," she said.
Akufo-Addo continues to face condemnation from many Ghanaians on social media over the size of his government, which some have called "elephant-sized".
