President Nana Akufo-Addo has inaugurated a board that will ensure the smooth construction of the national cathedral in Accra.
The Board will be chaired by the former head of the Methodist Church, Rev. Asante Antwi, with Rev. Charles Palmer Buckle as vice chair of the committee.
The rest are Duncan Williams, Dag Haward Mills, Rev. Kusi Boateng, Rev. Martey former Presby Moderator Joyce Aryee and Pastor Mensah Otabil.
President Akufo-Addo despite some opposition by some Ghanaians to the construction of the national cathedral insist he is committed to carry out this project.
A member of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh has argued that Ghana is a secular state and thus there is no need to have a national cathedral for one sect.
