Asiedu Nketia confesses buying state property

General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has revealed that he has bought a state owned property once, in his entire life even though being a politician gave him several opportunities to have acquired some state properties if he wanted.

In an interview on The Pulse on Joy News, Mr. Nketia swore he has never bought anything off the government even though he was aware of state property auctions that took place.

He however admitted that, the only property of his that used to be state owned was a SSNIT flat in Sakumono that he bought when the state company put them on sale.

"Many people who are close to me know that I don't by things from government... confiscated cars in the habour and all these things that people have been talking about, I have never bought a in.

"The only thing I have ever bought from government was my flat in Sakumono and that was SSNIT. SSNIT had done a policy where they were selling the rental units and the had given the first option to occupants."

He vowed his name will not be found in any government book for having bought property from the state.
