According to the minister, the , major threats facing Ghana aside terrorism are cyber crime and drug trafficking.

The concerns raised by the minister follow bouts of terrorist attacks in Nigeria, Kenya and across the world - a development which has seen advanced countries including the United States toughen its immigration laws.
