A late penalty awarded to Accra Heart of Oak in the game against Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday has sparked anger online.
The match was uneventful for the most part, but in the 83rd minute, Referee Samuel Sukah blew his whistle and pointed to the spot when a Kotoko defender appeared to intercept a shot with his hand.
Hearts' Vincent Atingah went on to score the penalty which gave them a 1-0 victory over their arch-rivals, Kotoko.
But Kotoko fans have insisted that their defender intercepted the ball with his butt, and not his hand.
They have, therefore, called for Referee Sukah to be banned from officiating other league matches.
Some of them have also threatened to boycott local matches over what they say is unfair officiating.
Some Hearts fans have, however, urged their Kokoto counterparts to stop complaining because, according to them, penalty form part of football.
