Vetting of 50 deputy ministers begins today

The appointments committee of parliament is expected to grant public hearing to the final batch of all ministerial and deputy ministerial nominees today, March 27.

The vetting will see four ministers of state and fifty deputy ministers of state vetted. What this means is that the appointment committee will be working the whole week even as parliament goes on recess.

Meanwhile, the committee is expected to see Ghana's first female deputy majority leaders and minister of state for procurement, Sarah Adwoa Safo take her turn.

In all, Nana Addo has appointed 110 ministers for his cabinet, a development which has sparked public outrage.
