The lecturer was speaking on Class FM's breakfast show on Thursday, when he said some members of the party cause the indiscipline in the party as they use their financial standing to support their public projects.

"They are telling us that the party has not been united all the time and that they were in there for their own selfish personal interests… It is just a group of people, factions loosely sort of linked together who, for the sake of what was happening in the country, could win political power. That is what they are telling us. That is what the people of NPP are demonstrating to the people of Ghana now; the indiscipline is actually beyond comprehension," he said.

He further stated there are "pockets of powerful people in the party and what is happening [to the party] is the manifestation of such pockets of people and the crucial thing is that they do not care about Ghana but only what they can get."

His comments follow the statement by the NPP member of parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong who said that government would grant members of the Delta and Invincible Force groups employment at the National Security.

However, Kwesi Boakye has said such statements were wrong and urged the party leaders to ensure these matters do not get out of hand.
