President John Mahama is now a hot commodity in the US, with American universities offering him appointments, YEN.com.gh understands.
Mahama has been approached by a number of American universities who want him to lecture in their schools, according to a report by Ghanaweb.com.
The former president who is currently in Boston, Massachusetts visited the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston University and Harvard University on Saturday.
Mahama has been highly sought-after for speaking engagements across the world since his election defeat to Nana Akufo-Addo in the December 2016 presidential election.
It is not immediately clear if he will take a temporary job with a US university or return to Ghana to lead the National Democratic Congress ahead of the 2020 elections.
Mahama has already asked all NDC members to work hard to mobilise support for the party, especially at the grassroots.
This, he said, was the only way the NDC can secure victory in 2020.
Regarding weather he would contest in 2020, he said whatever God had ordained could not be changed, urging supporters of the party to continue to be patient and also pray for him.
"Sometimes God delays [for] good things to come one's way," he said.
