Scores of University of Ghana students enthusiastically mobbed former president John Dramani Mahama when he visited the Legon campus for a book reading session last week.
Mahama, who has spent his time delivering public lectures abroad since he lost the 2016 election, began a public reading of his book, My First Coup D'etat: Memories from the Lost Decades of Africa, at the university.
YEN.com.gh understands that Mahama's personnel security had a hard time controlling the students who were bent on getting close to the former president.
Mahama is currently in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
He visited the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston University and Harvard University on Saturday.
YEN.com.gh can also report that some major American universities are chasing Mahama with offers to lecture in their schools.
