The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dared government to terminate the AMERI contract if indeed it was fraudulent.
Government, through the power ministry has raised red flags over the deal as plans for a renegotiation looms but former power minister, Kwabena Donkor has not only broken his silence on the matter but also warned government against the act.
Checks show that the AMERI deal, secured under the Mahama administration, exceeds the 150 million dollars charged government by registered Turkish company, PPR.
The AMERI deal was secured in the wake of Ghana’s looming power crisis under the leadership of the then power minister, Kwabena Agyapong. But the finance minister was convulsed to resign his position especially as the proper management of Ghana’s power crisis never came out as planned.
