Member of Parliament (MP) for the Assin Central constituency, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, has dismissed allegations that he harbors ill will towards former president John Maham's younger brother, Ibrahim Mahama.
Over the years tensions between Hon. Kennedy Agyapong and the former presidents younger brother have been high, with the Assin Central legislator alleging Ibrahim Mahama had committed one corrupt infraction or another.
Recently it was reported on local news websites that the firebrand New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP vowed to ingest poison if the former president's brother was not apprehended and jailed.
“I will take in poison and kill myself if Ibrahim Mahama is not jailed, he should watch and hear me well, I will take in poison and die if Ibrahim is not jailed…,” he threatened on TV.

Now in a suprising turn of events, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has stated that he bears no ill will towards Ibrahim Mahama, comments that is bound to raise more than a few eyebrows coming from Hon. Agyapong.
“I don’t hate Ibrahim Mahama…I just believe in fairness and would continuously fight for fairness…,” he said.
Hon. Agyapong blamed the "perceived hate" between himself and Ibrahim Mahama on other National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters who - according to him - always instigate hatred between himself and Ibrahim Mahama.
