Former president John Dramani Mahama has given a lecture at the University of Chicago in the US.
Mahama delivered the lecture at the university's Institute of Politics, which was founded by David Axerold, an adviser to former US president, Barack Obama.
Mahama is currently doing a series of reading tours and lectures around the globe.
The former president started with the University of Ghana, then went to the New York University-Ghana, and has over the past couple of days been to Boston University, University of Chicago, Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies and Harvard University.
YEN.com.gh reported that, ahead of the lecture, the former president was hosted to dinner by American civil rights activist, Reverend Jesse Jackson.
Our report also indicated that Mahama's popularity has soared in the US and that American universities are chasing him with top appointments.
It is not clear if Mahama will opt for a permament teaching tour in the US or return to Ghana to lead the National Democratic Congress for the 2020 election.
