In less than a week after his appointment as the Director of the Ghana Standards Authority, Dr. Addai-Mensah Otchere is said to have resigned with immediate effect.
YEN was unable to uncover the reason behind this decision but sources say he was pressured to resign because of some harsh comments he allegedly made about the governing party while they were in opposition.
Dr. Otchere was appointed last week – March 27, 2017 – by President Akufo-Addo but the former acting Dean of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences at the KNUST was reportedly invited by the president over the claims and urged to be cautious of his utterances.
