All 13 accused members of the Delta Force who escaped from the Kumasi Circuit Court courtroom on Thursday have turned themselves in, YEN.com.gh can report.

The accused persons who were arraigned before the Kumasi Metropolitan assembly circuit court presided over by HH Mary Nsenkyire and had been remanded in custody for two weeks but escaped after pandemonium broke out at the court had reported themselves to the Police and are currently in police custody,” a statement signed by the Ashanti regional police commander said.

The 13 Delta Force members were facing charges for causing disturbances in connection with the attack they meted on the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator.

Meanwhile, the Ashanti regional police say they also arrested eight members of the group who attacked the court and allowed the 13 escape.
