Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the New Patriotic Party's charismatic Ashanti Regional Chairman, has vouched for members of the Delta Force group, a group affiliated with the governing New Patriotic Party's (NPP).

Yesterday, April 6th, saw the NPP affiliated Delta Force group commit their second blatant attack on state property and institutions. This time around over 50 members descended upon a Kumasi circuit court and set free 13 members of their group who appeared before court follow the groups assault on the Ashanti REGSEC.

Both violent incidents have been condemned by politicians and citizens alike, and signified the groups blatant disregard for the laws of the land.

On the other hand according to Mr. Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, the Delta Force members are not thugs. Speaking to Accra based Okay FM on Friday, April 7th, Delta Force members who set free their group members because they feared for their lives.

He further said that Delta Force members are "very good boys", who are even capable of defending their case in court.

In a related development, police reports have it that the 13 escaped suspects have already turned themselves in and are cooperating with police investigations.
