Troubled NDC Member of Parliament for the Bawku Central constituency Mahama Ayariga on Friday apologised to the House for his involvement in the infamous bribery scandal against the Energy Minister.
Following the apology, Speaker of Parliament Prof Mike Ocquaye pardoned the MP, saying "go and sin no more”.
But he also warned that if the MP should ever repeat such conduct again, he will face the wrath of the House.

Mahama Ayariga had accused the then Energy Minister nominee Boakye Agyarko, Chairman of the Appointment Committee Joe Osei Owusu of bribing members of the minority with Ȼ3,000.00 to approve the former.
But an ad hoc committee set up by the Speaker of Parliament [Joe Ghartey committee] said the Ayariga only peddled falsehood and he couldn’t substantiate.
He was therefore found guilty of contempt of parliament and was instructed to apologise pending sanctions by the Speaker.
