There was a massive police presence at the circuit court in Kumasi where eight members of pro-NPP group Delta Force were facing trial for causing disturbance in court and rescuing persons in lawful custody.

The suspects were denied bail although their counsel, Gary Nimako prayed the court to grant them bail.

The eight were charged with causing disturbance in court, resisting arrest, and rescuing persons in lawful custody. But they pleaded not guilty to the charges. o

Meanwhile, the presiding judged explained that due to the nature of the case, the bail request cannot be granted.

They are to reappear before the court on April 18, 2017.

Last week, a circuit court in Kumasi was thrown into chaos when some men numbering about 50 besieged the premises to release their members who are standing trial for violent behaviour and assault.
