Armed robbers at Wa in the Upper West have returned GHc51,000 to a trader after the man "invoked deities" and warned that the thieves would die within three days.
The unnamed trader is said to have collected the money from other Ghanaian traders who do business in Burkina Faso. He was planning to transport the money to Leo in the West African country for them.
He was, however, attacked by robbers as he was taking the money home ahead of the trip, according to a report by mynewsgh.com.
The report said as soon as the man was robbed, he performed rituals to "invoke deities" and vowed the the robbers would die within three days if they did not return the money.
It added that robbers returned the money intact and kept it by the man's door.
The police in Wa are said to have confirmed that the money was returned and kept at the doorstep of the owner who had earlier informed the police of the robbery.
The police reportedly returned to the man's house to take picture of the returned money.
