Photos: Fancy Gadam in heroic return to Tamale

Fancy Gadam, the winner of the Best New Artiste of the Year award at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, has been welcomed as a hero to his base in Tamale.

He was met at the Tamale Airport by hundreds of people who praised him for making the city proud.

Gadam beat Medikal, Nii Funny, Article Wan, Feli Nuna, Ebony, Rudebowy Ranking and Eugy to the coveted award.

Underlining his status as a star, Gadam was guarded by military personnel as he made his way into town from the airport.

He also presented his award to elders at Tamale, who lauded him for what they said was his phenomenal showing.

The 18th edition of the awards scheme was held at the Accra International Conference Center on Saturday.
