Kokombas and Dagombas clash at Agbogbloshie, two feared dead

Tensions are high at Agbogbloshie in Accra following a bloody clash between Konkombas and Dagombas.

The clash is feared to have claimed the lives of two persons with a pregnant woman confirmed to be in a critical condition. There is heavy military presence at the area as police resorted to tear gas to disperse the angry crowd.

“It’s a problem that has happened. The people in here are being killed. Even as I speak my brother has been shot dead,” an eye witness revealed to Joy FM.

The clash follows other tribal clash in Accra as YEN earlier reports the scuffle between these two tribes remains under control at the same location.

“What happened was an argument between a Kokomba and Dagomba guy over the just ended elections,” member of parliament for Odododiodoo, Nii Lante Vanderpuije has revealed.

YEN learns that a UN tanker is been stationed at the scene as all efforts to restore calm in the area intensifies.
