Ghana may not continue Mahama's IMF programme - Ken Ofori Attah

The international monetary fund (IMF) programme which was started by the erstwhile NDC administration may be terminated, the finance minister, Ken Ofori Attah revealed.

Speaking during a review programme with the IMF mission in Ghana, the finance minister revealed that government is considering putting an end to the programme.

"We are committed to ending it when it should have ended... That's a Cabinet decision" he said, but admitted it will take a lot of hard work to achieve that," he revealed.

Some Ghanaians have expressed worry over the programme describing it as a drain to the economy.
