The $95 million Kumasi City Mall on Thursday opened for business in Ghana's second business city.
The facility opened to great fanfare, characterised by singing, and dancing.
There was an impressive display of cultural dance at the opening, which was attended by several dignitaries.
The mall, which is spread on a 15.4-acre stretch of land, has 74 different shops, for foodstuffs and groceries, lifestyle, beauty and wellness, electronics and telecommunications, fashion and clothing.
It is the first mall ever built in Kumasi, which is often called Ghana's garden city.
The launch drew hundreds of excited shoppers to the facility.
The Kumais City Mall also has pharmaceuticals and clinic facilities, gifts and high-value jewellery, restaurants, banking and financial services, entertainment, children’s games and other recreation centres.
The facility is owned by Delico Property Limited, the same owners of the Achimota Retail Center.
According to the GNA, it will be managed by a our-member Board of Directors with the day-to-day operations run by Broll Ghana Limited as the property managers, and AttAfrica Asset managers as the Asset Managers.
