The Paramount Chief of Dormaa Traditional Area in the Brong Ahafo Region Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II has denied claims that he endorsed former President Mahama during the run up to the 2016 elections.

He said the government of President John Dramani Mahama had achieved a lot when it came to infrastructural development and he was only commending them for this.
During a visit by President Akufo Addo to Brong Ahafo last week, Oseadeyo Agyeman Badu II explain that he only praised John Mahama because he had to out of courtesy.
He told President Nana Addo that it was difficult to criticize a prominent person in his face and also praise should be given where it is deserved.
"When Akua Donkor comes you cannot say anything against her…and when your younger brother who has left came I didn’t say anything against him", Oseadeyo Agyeman Badu II said to Nana Addo in Bono.
In the run up to the 2016 elections, a video went viral showing Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II saying he was prepared to abdicate his stool if he lost a debate over the president's achievements.
In the same video, the regal said he didn't mind if he had to become a serial caller to parrot the then president's achievements.
This rubbed many Ghanaians off the wrong way as he was heavily criticized for making those comments.
