His son Dr Edjah K. Nduom, was appointed the first African American to chair the Young Neurosurgeons Committee of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.

The young doctor announced his appointment known in a Facebook post.
He posted, “Last night, I led my first meeting as Chair of the Young Neurosurgeons Committee of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. In doing so, I have become the first African American Chair in the 26-year history of the committee. I have big shoes to fill in following my friend and colleague, Dr Krystal Tomei, in this role, but I am excited by the challenge. Let's energise the next generation of neurosurgical leaders!”
Dr Nduom who is the second son of Papa Kwesi Nduom is a top neurosurgeon in the United States of America.
For Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, this ray of light is indeed a welcome way to wrap up April 2017 which has been a fairly bad month according to him.
