It seems that the battle between the Mahama’s and Chairman Wontumi has really affected the latter’s ability to forgive his enemies.

Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party appeared to have gone dumb when quizzed by a presenter on UTV, if he had a place in his heart to forgive Ibrahim Mahama for his alleged crimes against him.

Chairman Wontumi was Ibrahim Mahama’s biggest critic during the erstwhile NDC government.

It seems Ibrahim Mahama has finally silenced Chairman Wontumi

Wontumi is alleged to have accused Ibrahim Mahama of being a thief and a dishonest man with criminal tendencies.

According to the NPP stalwart, Ibrahim together with former President Mahama, had been increasing fuel prices and stashing the proceeds in banks in South Africa.

These comments made by Wontumi was the feather that broke the camel’s back and caused Ibrahim Mahama to send Wontumi a strong warning to either ‘shut up’ or face him in court.

Wontumi couldn’t keep quiet, and on December 1st 2014, Ibrahim Mahama sued Chairman Wontumi for $2million.

Fast forward, when Chairman Wontumi was asked how the court proceeding between him and the former President’s brother was going and he politely said, “If a matter in court it is not good to comment and on it”.

When asked further if he can bury the hatchet between him and Mr. Mahama, he seemed to instantly have something stuck in his throat and did not answer the question causing the presenter to change the subject.
