A single mother of two boys from Liverpool, England, has revealed she has gone for days without proper food so she can afford certain luxuries for her sons.
26-year-old Sarah admits she believes her sons’ designer sports shoes will make them “popular”. Furthermore, she does not regret the skimped calories, which help her lose weight.
Sarah raises her 8-year-old twin boys Jayden and Jacob on her own after she separated from their father six years ago. She works as a care assistant, and is also a part-time student, looking for a degree in event management.
“I'll starve myself for a week to buy them a pair of Jordans [Air Jordan trainers]... so everyone knows they're not ‘meffs’ ”, Sarah claims, using the Liverpool slang word for “tramps”.
Sarah is talking about all these personal aspects of her life on Channel 4 as part of a documentary called “Single Mums Club”.
Although Sarah dedicates her life to the twins, she does make it clear that some small amount of her income goes towards treats for herself, such as getting he nails done, tattoos and some clothes shopping.
