Actor John Dumelo has chimed in on the feud between Ghanaian and Nigerian jollof rice. The debate concerning the popular West African dish is one that's been much reported, to the extent that even the BBC did a report on the issue.

For someone who has loads of fans in Nigeria John Dumelo doesn't seem to be afraid to take a dig at the Nigerian version of the well known (and well loved) dish.

In a Twitter post on the actor's personal twitter page, John Dumelo has deplored Nigeria jollow rice, saying that it's just a mix of rice and oil with no salt.

Having broached such a polarizing subject and with as much followers as he does on social media, John Dumelo's attack on the Nigerian dish definitely could not be allowed to go unanswered.

Dumelo's not the only Ghanaian celebrity to take a dig at the Nigerian version of jollof. Recently Sister Deborah was intervied on BBC because of her song on the same issue.

This goes to show that just as difficult as it would be to recall how this debate started - if these tweets ar eanything to go by - there's probably no end in sight.
