Edwin Sorto, from Washington, D.C., works at KIPP DC Promise Academy. There, he has patiently taught many Latin dance steps to his class, who have learned in such a great way that the case is becoming quite famous fast.
The videos Sorto has posted on his Facebook page featuring his talented little ones, have become a viral sensation. The endearing recordings have received thousands of likes, shares and comments.
One user writes that “this is the cutest thing I've ever seen!!!” Another one comments that “we are sending our kids here haha”.
Sorto has said “they work incredibly hard at both academics and dance and they absolutely deserve the recognition.” He adds that the kids are very proud of their achievements, as well as their parents.
This talented teacher also comments that his idea with the dancing lessons have increased the children’s engagement in school.
The kids have mastered the moves just like Latinos. And Sorto is also teaching them how to read in Spanish!
Sorto wants to continue the tradition with his next generations of students. That may well bring many candidates to this zesty kindergarten!
