Former president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama is yet to know peace even after handing over power to a new government 4 months ago.
The latest drag of the former president’s name through mud is by Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, who has accused John Dramani Mahama of supervising corruption during his time as President of the Republic.
Speaking on Adom TV's Badwam programme, Mr. Agyapong said the former president sat and allowed his appointees to push bloated contracts in the name of developing the country.
“The whole country has 72,800 kilometers of road, out of this only 23 percent has been done, the arrears we have here is 56,560 kilometers, the way you are talking about how Mahama has constructed the road where are they, But all this have been paid” he stated.
He further stated that there are several road projects the NDC government claims to have fixed in the past 8 years but still remain unmotorable, a situation that leaves him wondering where all the huge sums of money dedicated to such projects went.
He urged President Akufo-Addo to bring to book individuals who have caused financial loss to the state in the execution of such projects.
