Gospel musician, Sonnie Badu, has revealed that he used to be a cleaner before he found fame.
In a post on social media, the popular musician said that he used to work as a cleaner in universities in London.
He said he also worked as burger flipper at MacDonald's and had stints at Tescos, Boots, Dixon's, and Jones Boot Makers.
Sonnie Badu said he was so poor that he found himself homeless at a point.
The singer said the mother of a girl he was dating banned him from seeing her because she felt his future was bleak.
"I wore one suite to church, however it never stopped me from loving God because I understood times and seasons. At a point the mother of a young girl I wanted to marry in London told me never to step foot into their house simply because I had nothing to my name," he wrote.
Sonnie Badu said he kept faith in God and continued to work hard until success found him,
"Today by the grace of God, I am a CEO of almost 10 companies, with an honorary doctorate, a UN ambassador with an honorary key to the city of Brooklyn, an author of 15 books , three smashing albums under my record, happily married to a beautiful queen and God has blessed me with two kids," he wrote.
He encouraged Ghanaians not to give up, irrespective of their challenges because, according to him, they are next in line for God's breakthrough.
